Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Tax Analyst to join our team in Watsonville, California. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing tax compliance, accounting, and policy implementation for both domestic and international operations. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate tax processes and treasury functions, along with the ability to handle complex reporting and analysis tasks. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review book-tax adjustments for federal, state, and Canadian tax returns, including year-end provision calculations.
• Manage fixed asset depreciation schedules using specialized software.
• Calculate and file estimated payments, extensions, and international disclosure forms such as 5471, 8858, and 5713.
• Address tax agency notices, maintain tracking systems, and ensure all team calendars and compliance schedules are updated.
• Assist with annual property tax filings, sales and use tax returns, and Canadian tax compliance.
• Compile transfer pricing documentation, including Country-by-Country reports and related annual documentation.
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly, including tax refunds and notices.
• Support risk monitoring projects such as nexus analysis, Secretary of State filings, and Section 956 reviews.
• Contribute to the implementation of global tax policies and procedures.
• Perform administrative duties, including organizing tax records, mailing correspondence, and processing payment requests. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, accounting, or treasury operations.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax processes, including income tax, sales tax, and international tax reporting.
• Proficiency in managing fixed asset depreciation and treasury activities.
• Familiarity with preparing and filing disclosure forms such as 5471, 8858, and 5713.
• Experience with transfer pricing and related documentation.
• Ability to monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts and support tax accounting controls.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining compliance calendars and internal trackers.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct research for nonrecurring projects and risk assessments.
