Under the direct supervision of the physician or RN, the MA provides basic ambulatory nursing care of pediatric patients aged newborn to 21 years. Nursing care includes patient preparation, performing routine office procedures, possible administration of medications and immunizations, and routine testing. The MA will participate in health care decision making by communicating observations to the health care team. Documentation of observations will follow the department guidelines. Interacts interdepartmentally.
Department Specific Job Details:
Hours: 4 days a week ( 8 hour days ) no weekends.
Education: • HSD/GED is required • Completion of a program in Medical Assisting is required Certification/Licensure: • CPR is preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date
Education Requirements:
Associates (Required), GED, High School (Required)
Certification/License Requirements:
CPR: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - American Heart Association
