As a Director – Platform, you will direct activities related to the design, development, and implementation of assigned platform(s) and manage multiple development teams supporting different applications. You will guide managers and review different project requests, timeline and cost. While developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing, and integrating best practices and technology standards across the organization. You will also create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develop budgets, policies and procedures to support the organization. You will coordinate enhancements and maintenance of information systems to ensure highly reliable and cost-effective operation.
Responsibilities:
+ **Managing the Technical Product backlog** : Collaborating with Digital Products Team and Business in creating, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the most valuable and feasible features and required other functional capabilities. Works effectively with Business stakeholders to communicate and translate their needs into system requirements and modules.
+ **Facilitating Cross-Collaboration** : Serving as a liaison between Business stakeholders, Digital Products Team and Development Team to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
+ **Stakeholder Management** : Engaging with stakeholders regularly to gather feedback, communicate progress, manage expectations, and ensure technical solutions meet business objectives.
+ **Validating Solutions** : Collaborating with Digital Products Team in conducting demos, gathering user feedback, and ensuring features deliver intended value.
+ **Monitoring Value Realization** : Coordinating with the Business Stakeholders and Digital Products Team to define mechanism to calculate and track value realization, implementing mechanisms to track the performance and impact solutions, and iterating based on performance metrics, value realization gaps and user feedback.
+ **Guiding Sprint Planning and Execution** : Participating in sprint planning to refine and prioritize tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery.
+ **Budgeting, Tracking and Execution Updates** : Planning and creating annual budget for the overall Team by collaborating with Business, Engineering Leadership Team and peers in the Engineering Team. Tracking for actual expenses against approved budget and generate periodic financial review reports for the Team. Collaborating with the broader PMO Teams to prepare required review material for the Leadership updates on the execution status for the Team.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree - Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields required
+ Masters Degree - Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields required preferred
+ 10+ years experience in technical coordination, design, implementation, and management of enterprise applications (SaaS and On-Prem)
+ 5+ years technical leadership experience for enterprise application technologies, SDLC, Agile Methodologies, Platform management and Vendor management
+ 5+ years administrative experience including organization, planning, cost and benefit analysis, budgeting and project management, and evaluation
+ Excellent communication and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with leadership teams, and with the ability to build coalitions across organization
+ Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies, Agile methodologies, change control, change management, and project management
+ Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capability
+ Strong customer service skills
+ Business acumen, an ROI focus, and the ability to connect AI to business goals are vital
+ Experience as a Technical Product Owner, particularly in AI and software development
+ A strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, such as algorithms, LLMs and data science workflows, is necessary
+ Good technical acumen, including basic proficiency in programming, data literacy and knowledge of data handling
+ Excellent communication skills are required to convey complex AI concepts to various audiences, as is the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
+ Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies is also important
+ Additionally, an understanding of User Experience for AI, focusing on explainable and trustworthy results, is beneficial, as is a commitment to continuous learning in the evolving AI landscape
+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
+ Ability to travel 0-25% of the time
