Training Specialist - Fraud Prevention Unit

The Training Specialist (TS) works within the Change Department Training Unit and reports to the Training Manager. The TS administers FPU CORE training, memo certification & other training to the contract workforce and may also engage in training needs across multiple contract functional areas within the KCC. This is also responsible for educating all current and future employees on the operational procedures by creating instructional programs, training plans and assigning additional course requirements. The TS will teach topics based on the training curriculum through engaging lesson plans and examples of real-world applications. This position is also responsible for gauging performance of students by creating assignments, grading assessments and submitting recommended curriculum updates as needed. The Training Specialist will have ownership of government-mandated training as well as annual company requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Conducts onsite and virtual classroom training courses. On the Job Training and continual refresher and update trainings.
+ Creates learning assessments and assignments, syllabi and instructional programs.
+ Edits and modifies the training curriculum and lesson plans as needed.
+ Gauges the success and readiness of employees to apply knowledge.
+ Employs several teaching methods as appropriate to ensure engagement.
+ Maintains ethical and diligent recordkeeping.
+ Works with management to determine areas in which training is required.
+ Utilizes Microsoft Office products to enhance the learning experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS.
+ Changes or adjusts training content based on changes in the company and government regulations.
+ Adheres to deadlines, goals and metrics provided by the company.
+ Report training performance status to Change, Training, and Operations leadership as needed.
+ Recommend adjustments in work areas to achieve program objectives.
+ Use historical data to work with the Change, Training, and Operations leadership to plan for daily, weekly, and monthly training needs.
+ Provide applicable systems reports for Training Manager.
+ Assists Change and Training Managers to ensure timely delivery of all deliverables.
+ Perform ad hoc data and reporting requests as needed.
+ Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Qualifications
+ Associates degree and two (2) years of relative experience or Bachelor’s degree (Experience equivalent year over year in lieu of degree).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
+ Proven ability to use and interpret the applicable documents as described in the VSS Statement of Work.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills to draft effective trainings and presentations, communicate with customers and to disseminate information to a wide audience.
+ Attention to detail to successfully understand and evaluate trends, maintain detailed records.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of the team to effectively interact with personnel at all levels.
+ U.S. citizenship.
+ Ability to successfully complete a corporate background investigation, including credit and criminal checks.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET government security clearance.
+ Strong verbal and written command of the English language.
+ Strong administrative and organizational skills.
+ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
+ Positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction.
+ Demonstrate a professional work ethic.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; sit; lift up to 20 lbs.; bend; reach; carry; stoop; kneel; use hand and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; speak; or hear.
+ Specific vision abilities may be required to perform the job which may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, or the ability to adjust focus.
+ Onsite required but may also include all other work environments as required.
