    Increasing digitalization and flexibility of production processes presents outstanding potential.     We are looking for a part-time Application Center Engineer Intern. This position is remote.

    You’ll make a difference by:

    + Engaging in a wide range of functions related to applications engineering for discrete manufacturing systems

    + Directly contributing to business outcomes for Siemens industrial automation and digitalization products

    + Supporting senior applications engineers with projects, including but limited to:

    + Assisting with ongoing customer projects (such as debugging, improving, and documenting customer programs or developing proof of concept specification systems)

    + Documenting technical processes for training internal and external stakeholders

    + Upgrading demo equipment or creating demos for new products and features

    + Creating and expanding on technical and marketing collateral

    You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelors or Masters students: Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering/Technology, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering/Technology (must be enrolled at the time of the internship).

    + Ability to work part-time during the work week Monday – Friday.

    + Technical expertise in automation, drives, and PLC-based motion control.

    + Proficiency in programming across environments such as PLCs, Python, C/C++, Java, or web development.

    + Strong stakeholder engagement mindset

    + Effective written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

    + Acute attention to detail, highly organized, self-motivated, and dedicated to quality and excellence.

    + Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

    + Experience with control systems, Ethernet networking, windows app development, power electronics, mechanical statics/dynamics and/or software simulation in an industrial automation setting.
