    Job Title:

    Technical Support Technician I

    Compensation:

    $23.50 per hour

    Project Details:

    + Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full-time AWS employee.

    + Location: Must be able to travel across all of IAD (Northern Virginia). Assignment will be provided; flexibility required.

    + North: Ashburn, Sterling, Herndon, Reston

    + Middle: Chantilly

    + South: Manassas, Haymarket, Gainesville

    Top Skills – Must Haves:

    + Technical support

    + Troubleshooting

    + Cabling

    Daily Responsibilities:

    + Prepping, running, and installing cables OR receiving racks (assignment will be provided; flexibility required).

    + Ability and willingness to work on top of a 12-foot ladder.

    + Perform physical tasks for 8+ hours per day.

     

    Shift Options (Assignment will be provided;

    flexibility required):

    + Monday–Friday, core business hours (approx. 8:00 AM–4:00 PM)

    + Tuesday–Saturday, core business hours

    + Wednesday–Sunday, core business hours

    Secondary Skills – Nice to Haves:

    + General IT support experience

    + Familiarity with data center environments

    Job Description Summary:

    Provides technical

    support to end users on a variety of issues. Responsibilities include:

     

    + Identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.

    + Responding to telephone calls, emails, and in-person requests for technical support.

    + Documenting, tracking, and monitoring issues to ensure timely resolution.

    Requirements:

    + Associate’s degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.

    + 0–3 years of experience in technical support or related area.

    + Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in IT support.

    + Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.

    + Works under immediate supervision; reports to a manager or supervisor.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
