The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.
Global Customer Success organization is seeking a skilled **Business Strategy Analyst** is a key role that supports the Microsoft’s Detection and Response Team (DART) and bridges technical execution with business objectives for a highly operational team. This professional brings an organized, proactive leadership mindset to coordinate and support the team’s internal development backlog, ensuring projects are prioritized, resourced, and executed efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Business Strategy Analyst brings order to chaos so that development efforts run smoothly and align with organizational goals. Strong project management skills, an eye for process improvement, and expertise with tools like Azure DevOps are essential to connect people and tasks, remove blockers, and drive effective collaboration across the team.
This role is for professionals who thrive in high-pressure environments, are passionate about cybersecurity, and want to make a global impact by facilitating the Microsoft Incident Response delivery team who help organizations recover from and prevent cyberattacks.
You’ll be part of a globally distributed, mission-driven team that responds to some of the most complex and high-impact cybersecurity incidents in the world. You’ll work alongside experts in threat intelligence, reverse engineering, and infrastructure recovery, and help shape the future of Microsoft’s incident response capabilities.

Responsibilities
+ Manage and prioritize the internal development backlog
+ Maintain dashboards and metrics that provide transparency into backlog health, task assignments, and completion rates.
+ Facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning – Lead regular backlog refinement meetings to review and update work items, ensuring that priorities are correct and requirements are well-defined.
+ Triage and address incoming requests – Quickly assess new tickets, change requests, or bug reports, and triage them based on urgency and impact.
+ Identify and remove inefficiencies and blockers – Proactively pinpoint dependencies, risks, or obstacles that could hinder project progress. Work with team members to resolve conflicts or resource constraints, and escalate issues when necessary.
+ Collaborate across teams and functions – Serve as a central point of contact who connects developers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
+ Provide updates and reports to leadership – Monitor project status and prepare regular progress reports for team leads and senior management. Summarize key achievements, upcoming deliverables, and any risks or delays.
+ Ensure forward momentum and accountability – Keep projects on track through diligent follow-up and coordination.
+ Drive process improvement – Continuously evaluate the team’s workflows and tooling. Implement process improvements to optimize how work is tracked and completed Foster a culture of continuous improvement
+ Document findings and recommendations in clear, actionable reports for customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 3+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.
Business Strategy IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
