We’re entering a new era, one defined by the power of AI to reshape what’s possible. At Microsoft, we’re not just exploring the future of AI, we’re building it. We are looking for a **Senior Product Manager** to join our team. Our mission is ambitious: to create an open, next-generation AI platform that empowers organizations to unlock unprecedented value. Imagine a world where businesses can summon intelligent, bespoke AI agents that accelerate decision-making, enhance productivity, and transform customer experiences. This is your chance to help shape that future. As a Product Manager in the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) org, you’ll operate at the intersection of advanced AI technology and real-world business impact - embedded directly with customers to define bold ideas and guide them from vision to value.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
As a **Senior** **Product Manager** in the **Forward Deployed** **Engineering (FDE)** org, you’ll be the strategic force working in close partnership with customers to identify, shape, and scale their most impactful AI opportunities. Whether through direct collaboration on-site, virtually, or in hybrid models, you’ll immerse yourself in their mission to uncover not just immediate pain points, but transformational possibilities - helping customers think beyond point solutions while scoping pragmatic, high-ROI starting points.
You’ll move quickly from insight to vision to execution, defining use cases, success metrics, and evaluation frameworks (Evals) that ensure every engagement is guided by measurable impact. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and design to translate these insights into production-grade solutions that bring AI to life in mission-critical workflows. Your work will span defining product strategy, prioritizing features, and determining which solutions should be evolved into reusable platform capabilities that scale across customers and industries. You’ll navigate seamlessly across stakeholder groups - from C-suite executives defining strategy to frontline workers using the product daily, from highly technical engineers to deeply business-focused leaders - ensuring alignment and clarity at every level.
Importantly, your role doesn’t end at launch - you’ll remain accountable for validating impact, driving adoption, and evolving solutions based on customer feedback and usage data. As a bridge between the customer environment and Microsoft’s engineering and research teams, you’ll channel insights from the field to inform platform roadmaps and accelerate innovation across our AI ecosystem. Finally, as part of the growing FDE community, you’ll contribute to shared learnings, mentor peers, and help define what world-class AI product management looks like at Microsoft.
