The Global Partner GTM, Programs & Operations (GPO) organization within GPS brings together the go-to-market strategy, programs, and platforms to accelerate growth and improve partner experience across all partner segments.
In this role, **Director, Executive Communications** , you will be part of a high-impact team supporting a group of executives across Global Channel Partner Sales (GCPS). This team operates within a shared services model designed to scale efficiently across leadership needs and flex during peak periods aligned to major events. Beyond scalability, the model is intentionally structured to harness and build upon the unique strengths, talents, and expertise of each team member—whether employee or vendor—creating a dynamic environment where individual contributions elevate the collective impact. You’ll collaborate across this diverse team to deliver consistent, high-quality communications that amplify executive voice and drive clarity across internal and external audiences.
Your work will span executive presentations, internal and external email and messaging, and strategic storytelling—crafting compelling narratives and high-impact communications that resonate with internal audiences of all levels and external audiences including partners and customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the voice of GCPS leadership and drive clarity and engagement across a complex, matrixed organization.

The candidate will have deep experience supporting leaders, business and technical acumen—especially in cloud and AI—and a proven ability to influence across cross-functional teams. Success in this role requires writing skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to build scalable messaging and frameworks that elevate the GCPS leadership narrative and the voice of our partner ecosystem delivering impact in the Era of AI.

Responsibilities
+ Develop and manage the executive communications strategy for assigned GCPS leaders, ensuring alignment with team, business, and organizational objectives and consistency of voice across all channels.
+ Lead planning and execution for internal and external events, including executive participation, narrative development, and production coordination.
+ Scale messaging effectively by applying proven frameworks and planning for reach and impact from the outset.
+ Embed diversity and inclusion principles throughout communication strategy and execution.
+ Identify opportunities to enhance executive reputation and perception, and create content that reflects strategic priorities and leadership voice.
+ Oversee executive social strategy, coordinating across the GCPS leadership team where needed.
+ Mentor and guide a community of communications professionals and vendors, fostering collaboration and excellence across the shared services model.
+ Serve as a strategic advisor to GCPS leaders, helping select communication strategies and channels, and coaching them on message delivery.
+ Write and edit high-impact content for presentations, speeches, messaging documents, and emails tailored to internal and external audiences.
+ Lead communications planning for key GCPS events, announcements, and partner engagements.
+ Contribute to the team’s overall communication strategy by sharing practices, frameworks, and thought leadership.
+ Build scalable messaging systems and storytelling frameworks that elevate GCPS leadership and partner narratives.
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
+ Monitor and analyze messaging effectiveness, synthesize data, and adjust strategy based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
+ Collaborate across stakeholder communities within SME&C, IPS, and other Microsoft teams to deliver shared events and initiatives.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
+ OR equivalent experience
+ 5+ years of demonstrated experience supporting executives in an executive communications role, including developing proposals, presentations, and messaging across vehicles and formats.
+ 5+ years of demonstrated experience in writing and editing skills with a passion for crafting compelling narratives that resonate across diverse audiences.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ Proven ability to articulate both business and technical value of Microsoft cloud and AI services to decision makers, including partner solution storytelling.
+ Track record of creating and delivering scalable communication plans from concept to execution, with attention to detail and measurable outcomes.
+ Ability to thrive in a developmentally-minded, relationship-based environment, with listening, collaboration, and trust-building skills.
+ Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization, including participation in v-teams and shared workstreams.
+ Deep understanding of partner engagement and storytelling, with a focus on creating partner experiences that drive business success.
+ Confidence and poise in engaging leaders, including handling high-pressure situations and navigating conversations.
+ Ability to provide in-person support for speeches and events held at Microsoft Redmond campus or Microsoft Studios
+ Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with experience embedding D&I principles into communication strategy and execution.
Communications IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
