You'll be tasked with anticipating emerging risks and using your judgement to address challenges impacting our company, customers, and communities. As a member of the Principal Risk Team, you will be involved in the Middle Office, supporting the Principal Risk framework. You will be required to forge strong relationships with technology, reporting, country risk management, and middle office functions of other risk stripes. Within this team, you will have the opportunity to learn about Principal Risk principles and assess and establish control processes in support of Risk Management.
Job Responsibilities
+ Conduct monthly exposure reviews with ED/MD level risk management partners, demonstrating an ability to explain the story behind the risk data - central point for trend analysis.
+ Perform regular and ad-hoc reporting / presentations to Risk Managers and Senior Managers, including but not limited to exposure, limits, and stress analysis across various asset classes in Principal Risk.
+ Aggregate and analyze the Principal Risk exposures and data attribute changes for weekly risk meetings and monthly risk reporting packages.
+ Maintain data quality in the aggregation systems and utilize system tools to control accuracy of the reported results.
+ Participate in user acceptance testing for the Principal Risk Infrastructure projects
+ Understand controls/policies that are in place and execute projects to enhance the control environment.
+ Assist with documentation requirements for Operating Procedures, User Tools, and Adjustments
+ Effectively collaborate with business partners (including risk business management, reference data teams, client on-boarding, product controllers/finance and technology) to resolve data quality exception.
+ Collaborate with technology and other stakeholders on systems, process improvements, and planned releases.
+ Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Intelligent Solutions with tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
+ BA or BS degree
+ Minimum of 3+ years experience with in a Risk, financial industry or operations.
+ Knowledge of financial products required
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, Behavioral skills, leadership, problem solving and time management.
+ Strong planning, negotiation, analytical, and process improvement skills
+ Excellent business writing and verbal English communication skills
+ Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
+ Strong control and quality management skills; accuracy and attention to detail is vital.
+ Assertive and self-confident, comfortable when interacting with senior management.
+ Detail and deadline oriented.
+ Well-developed negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills.
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
+ BA or BS degree preferably in Finance / Business
+ Knowledge of credit risk and/or market risk principles preferred.
+ Knowledge of Intelligent solutions is a plus.
