    Summary You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (HULL) in the HULL PLANNING BRANCH (TRF-424) OF THE MAINTENANCE PLANNING DIVISION (TRF-420), PLANNING DEPARTMENT (TRF-400) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. Responsibilities You will develop Controlled Work Packages (CWP) and Formal Work Packages (FWP) for planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, TRIPER overhauls, alterations, as well as Regional Maintenance and maintenance requests. You will research and identify Quality Assurance requirements for SUBSAFE, Level I and Scope of Certification. You will conduct research of technical information and specification prior to preparation of work packages. You will develop man-hour estimates required for work accomplishment. You will develop man-hour estimates required for technical work documents. You will serve as a Production Controller responsible for planning corrective and preventative maintenance, as well as alterations, for complex submarine hulls, structural systems, subsystems, and components. You will regularly update the Planning Supervisor, shop supervisors, and project teams on material status, delays, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services to meet the scheduled refit period. You will utilize available resources to research material requirements and availability to provide cost estimates to support the procurement and/or substitution of long lead-time, obsolete, or unavailable materials. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-10 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Prepare and develop Controlled Work Packages (CWP) and Formal Work Packages (FWP) for Hull/Structural/ Components which provide the technical, material, procedural and testing guidance for various repair and weapons dept shops to execute planned and corrective preservation maintenance on SSBN, SSGN, SSN submarines. Piping: experience in the repair, fabrication, alteration, modification, testing, flushing, maintenance and inspection of non-nuclear piping systems. Research and identify quality assurance requirements and develop the required QA forms to capture the objective quality evidence required to certify maintenance is performed correctly and that repaired systems or components will function as designed. Researching technical information and specifications during planner preparation of work package material lists. Skilled in utilizing available resources to assess material requirements, verify material availability, provide cost estimates, and support the procurement of necessary materials. Access and use various computer systems, software programs and internet /online databases required to accomplish duties including writing FWP/CWP, performing database searches to enable effective refit planning and material requestioning, and generating objective quality evidence. Perform configuration/ship checks to develop man-hour estimates required for work accomplished and to ensure the FWP/CWP accurately describes the scope of work to be accomplished. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
