Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

Job Description

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the purchasing department by managing purchase orders, tracking outstanding orders, and performing essential administrative tasks. This position involves close collaboration with vendors and maintaining purchasing records. There is potential for growth into negotiations and strategic tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Process and manage purchase orders (POs).

+ Track and follow up on outstanding orders.

+ Perform administrative tasks related to purchasing.

+ Assist with vendor communication and coordination.

+ Maintain spreadsheets and purchasing records.

+ Support tactical buying activities with potential to expand into negotiations and strategic tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Mid-level purchasing experience or strong administrative experience

+ Technical aptitude.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.

+ Experience with SAP/ERP systems.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a mounting workload.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Electrical supplies experience is a strong plus.

+ Open to new graduates with relevant skills.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility. The work environment is dynamic, requiring the ability to handle a fast-paced setting efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Appleton, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
