Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Job Description
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for completing financial accounting, analysis, and reporting tasks on time while adhering to company policies and procedures. This role involves preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, assisting in consolidations and reporting for internal stakeholders, and supporting audit processes.
Responsibilities
+ Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
+ Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial periods.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve closing issues.
+ Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls and IFRS accounting policies.
+ Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation in compliance with local and international regulations.
+ Provide support for intercompany transaction analysis and ensure appropriate pricing methodologies are implemented.
+ Track and analyze vehicle-related expenses including material costs, material overhead, labor and overhead, and duty.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation.
+ Reconcile vehicle cost accounts and ensure proper reporting.
+ Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions and balances.
+ Ensure accurate valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting standards.
+ Assist in physical inventory counts and variance analysis.
+ Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation.
+ Process asset additions, disposals, and transfers.
+ Support periodic asset audits and reporting.
+ Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
+ Reconcile accounts receivable subledger to general ledger.
+ Prepare aging reports and assist with credit risk assessments.
+ Prepare quality process documentation.
+ Participate in process improvement initiatives and system upgrades.
+ Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field).
+ 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
+ Ability to question the reasonableness of journal entries, account balances, and their impact on financial statements.
+ Ability to analyze financials and provide valid explanations for variances.
+ ERP software experience (SAP preferred).
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Project management experience preferred.
+ Programming experience with tools such as Power BI is a huge plus.
Work Environment
The position is fully in-office, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The role reports to the Accounting Manager and involves working alongside four other accounting partners.

This is a Contract position based out of Ladson, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.50 - $43.50/hr.
