As a Sr Chemical Plant Operations Manager here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our chemical manufacturing facility. You will be accountable for ensuring that the production of chemical products is safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory standards. Your duties will involve supervising production processes, guide the entire unit operations team (superintendent, engineers, supervisors, operators, maintenance coordinator, and unit trainers) and implementing rigorous safety protocols and environmental regulations. Your expertise will come into play as you optimize plant operations, reduce downtime, control production costs, and ensure the quality of our chemical products. Your guidance is essential in maintaining the facility's integrity, meeting production targets, and upholding high standards of safety and environmental responsibility in our dynamic and complex industrial environment.
You will report directly to our Site Leader and you'll work out of our Geismar, LA. location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and success of our chemical manufacturing facility. By optimizing production processes, reducing downtime, and controlling costs, you will contribute to increased profitability and operational excellence. Moreover, your role in upholding safety and environmental standards not only mitigates risks but also ensures our company's reputation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee and manage all aspects of the chemical plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
+ Develop and implement strategies to improve plant performance, increase efficiency, reduce waste and costs, and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
+ Ensure operations comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations. This includes implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures.
+ Lead and manage a team of supervisors, engineers, and operators. This involves training, performance management, and talent development.
+ Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational issues.
+ Manage departmental spending, monitor expenditures, and contribute to capital planning.
+ Monitor operational performance and report on KPIs and other key metrics to senior management.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Proven experience of 6+ years in managing chemical plant operations.
+ Strong knowledge of process safety management, environmental and safety regulations, and quality management systems.
+ Strong leadership, team management, communication, and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
+ Experience with performance management, talent development, and continuous improvement methodologies is often expected.

The annual base salary range for this position is $176,000 - $220,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
