    As a **Maintenance Manager** here at Solstice, you will oversee the maintenance and operational activities of a facility, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance schedules, managing budgets, coordinating repairs and replacements, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. Your role extends beyond mere compliance, demanding an in-depth understanding of regulatory standards and the ability to navigate evolving landscapes with adaptability and foresight. The manager also works with vendors and contractors, monitors performance, and implements energy-saving practices.

     

    You will report directly to our **Sr** **Maintenance Manager** and you’ll work out of our **Geismar, LA** location on a standard work schedule.

     

    In this role, you will impact the organization's maintenance operations toward unparalleled heights of efficiency, compliance, and innovation. Through visionary leadership, strategic policy development, and meticulous execution, you directly influence the trajectory of our repair and overhaul initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    + Enforce and practice all of site safety protocols

    + Drive accountability across the work group maintaining operational discipline.

    + Lead group of 9 direct reports and some support contractors, including mentoring / coaching.

    + Develop and implement maintenance schedules, strategies, and plans, prioritizing tasks to ensure that facilities remain well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and operational

    + Drive and oversee outage planning, execution, and optimization.

    + Participate in budget planning and help manage allocated funds for maintenance activities to achieve cost-effective solutions while maintaining high facility standards

    + Monitor the condition and functionality of facility assets, such as equipment and infrastructure, and coordinate repairs, replacements, or upgrades as needed

    + Develop / refine critical spare strategy and ensure its effectiveness.

    + Ensure that facilities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, managing necessary permits and certifications, and addressing any compliance issues

    + Work with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, monitoring their work to ensure it meets established standards and is within budget

    + Implement energy-saving and sustainable practices to reduce operational costs and minimize the environmental footprint of facility operations

    + Conduct regular inspections, quality assessments, and maintenance performance evaluations to maintain and improve facility standards

    + Assist in the development and execution of emergency response plans for facility-related incidents, including power outages, natural disasters, and other emergencies

    + Work with other departments, senior management, and stakeholders to comprehend their facility needs and provide updates on maintenance activities

    Qualifications

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + 10+ years experience in repair and overhaul maintenance.

    + Outstanding leadership and team management skills with a strategic focus.

    + Strong knowledge of repair and overhaul processes and methodologies.

    + Proficiency utilizing sophisticated maintenance management systems and tools.

    + Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

    + Experience with budget management.

    + Proven leadership and management skills.

    + Excellent communication and people-oriented skills.

    + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
