We are proud that the services we provide help our clients remain in the homes they love.   JOB Responsibilities As a caregiver at Griswold Home Care for Santa Rosa, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients. Key responsibilities include: * Personal care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. * Meal preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences. * Mobility assistance: Help clients move safely within their homes or between locations, including transferring from beds, wheelchairs, or vehicles. * Household tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing. * Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities, such as conversation, hobbies, or light exercise. * Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health to family members and supervisors promptly. * Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and daily activities as per organizational standards. * Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, leaning, walking, bending, and lifting, and may involve lifting up to 100 pounds at times.   Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Must-have: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and their families. * Punctual and dependable with a positive attitude * Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and other physical tasks. * Basic understanding of healthcare practices, including hygiene and infection control protocols. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for roles requiring travel).   Nice-to-have: * 2+ years of home care experience would be a plus; caring for a loved one counts!  * CPR and First Aid certifications. * Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field. * Familiarity with medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, or lifts. * Multilingual abilities to support diverse client populations. * Completion of specialized training programs in dementia care, palliative care, or other relevant fields.   Benefits At Griswold Home Care for Santa Rosa, we value our caregivers and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: * Competitive Wage working for an established company that appreciates our staff and offers advancement opportunities. * Weekly paydays * Professional development opportunities for ongoing training and development. * Paid Sick Time, and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. * Scholarships via Jean Griswold Foundation for education https://www.jeangriswoldfoundation.org * Mileage reimbursement for travel between client locations (if applicable).                                Griswold Home Care is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
