THE POSITION
Are you interested in moving your career forward? The Department of Revenue is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 to provide clerical and customer service support to the claims division of the PA Lottery Department.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will receive and respond to a wide variety of phone calls and emails regarding PA Lottery claims and games. You will reference prescribed guidelines and manuals to resolve various issues and provide information and solutions in order to assist customers. Additional duties include proofreading claim forms, reviewing tickets, verifying information for accuracy, and entering approved claims into the lottery back-office system. When necessary, you will send forms to claimants to obtain missing information for claims.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
+ Graduation from high school;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
+ Previous customer service experience is preferred.
+ Previous call center experience is preferred.
