    Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a **Systems Engineer/RF Data Analyst** to join the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Program to support the customer’s Early Use (EU) project objectives.

     

    The **Systems Engineer/RF Data Analyst** will be a key member of the engineering team, focusing on the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex RF data. This role is essential to support the conduct of the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) radar system Early Use (EU) operational capability. Primary responsibilities relate to collecting, processing, and analyzing RF signal data to evaluate and improve the performance of the DARC system.

     

    **Job Duties** :

    + Support early use operations on the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) radar system.

    + Data Collection and Processing: Manage the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of large datasets from various RF testing and measurement sources.

    + Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of RF data to evaluate performance.

    + Algorithm Development: Develop and implement advanced signal processing techniques and mathematical models to analyze RF signals and improve system performance.

    + Simulation and Modeling: Create simulations to predict system behavior and assess the impact of changes in hardware or environmental conditions.

    + Reporting and Visualization: Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.

    + Collaboration and Support: Work cross-functionally with hardware engineers, software developers, and other analysts to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and validate system enhancements.

    + Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.

    + Support early use training on DARC radar system.

    + Assist team in development of innovative Test Automation solutions.

    + Reports to the system integration and test lead.

    Basic Qualifications

    + **Level 3:** Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or similar with 5 years of experience. 8 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

    + **Level 4:** Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or similar with 8 years of experience. 10 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

    + **Active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility, required at time of application.**

    + RF Engineering Experience: 3–5+ years of experience working with RF signal analysis, and/or specialized RF communications.

    + Data Analysis Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data-driven methodologies.

    + Radar signal processing, matched filtering, Range-Doppler Map, Fourier Analyses, phase analyses

    + Programming Skills: Strong coding skills in relevant languages, such as Python, R, or MATLAB.

     

    Evidence of skills, knowledge or experience in at least two of the listed preferred qualifications

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with hands-on missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations

    + Experience working as part of an Integration and Test team across multiple engineering disciplines

    + Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements

    + Experience with machine learning or AI techniques for RF channel modeling.

    + Knowledge of specific protocols and systems, such as radar or geolocation systems.

    + Background in fields with high-consequence electronics, such as space or defense applications.

    + Experience with large ground data processing systems integration

    + Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00

     

    Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
