    Job Description:

    L3Harris is currently seeking a Sr Specialist Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.

    Essential Functions:

    + Able to communicate effectively and work closely with assigned teams.

    + Design, implement, and integrate software in a Linux Environment.

    + Perform software coding and debugging, perform software unit tests, and integrate software components.

    + Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.

    Qualifications:

    + Active US Secret clearance.

    + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.

    + Demonstrated experience with object-oriented development experience in LINUX using C++ or JAVA.

    + Demonstrated experience in Agile development and essentials of DevOps.

    + Demonstrated software component development, implementation, and integration in Linux.

    + Demonstrated experience using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    + Experience in Design Patterns and Frameworks.

    + Experience in working with virtualization, containerization, and hybrid computing environments.

    + Experience with Aerospace/DoD programs

    + Experience with ISR Systems.

    + Experience in SQL/NoSQL database design and queries.

    + Software and hardware troubleshooting background.

    + Experience with software automated test tools and frameworks.

    + Multi-threaded, parallel, and/or GPU programming experience.

    + Google Protocol Buffers and network socket programming
