    Job Overview

    **Position Schedule:** Full-Time

     

    This job posting is anticipated to remain open for 30 days, from 31-Oct-2025. The posting may close early due to the volume of applicants.

     

    This is a Paralegal I opportunity. The successful candidate will handle matters across multiple workstreams within the Legal Response Team, with an emphasis on third party document requests, court orders, and other Operations-oriented work supporting branches, clients, and the Legal Response Team's Home Office partners.

     

    + Independently analyze and respond appropriately to third party requests for documents and information, court orders, and other requests with support and guidance from Edward Jones attorneys as necessary.

    + Independently analyze legal documents and provide guidance to branches and Home Office associates.

    + Contact and respond professionally to questions from branches, other Divisions, attorneys, government agencies, and other actors.

    + Work efficiently and accurately while accounting for risk and need in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

    + Conduct legal research with guidance from Edward Jones attorneys.

    + Acquire and maintain knowledge regarding the operation of client accounts and firm documents, processes, and systems.

    + Acquire and maintain knowledge of state and federal statutes and requirements pertaining to third party requests for documents (discovery and eDiscovery), conservatorships, guardianships and other relevant matters.

    + Support the management of the Legal Response Team by participating in intake functions, triaging incoming and pending matters, assisting with special projects, and completing high-level administrative tasks as needed.

    **Hiring Minimum:** $53600

    Skills/Requirements

    + High school education required; college degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.

    + Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in private practice or in-house environment handling litigation matters required.

    + Financial industry experience preferred.

    + Comfortable using (and learning) technology. Proficient using Microsoft applications and Adobe Acrobat. Exposure to third party legal support applications such as OnIT and Westlaw preferred.

    + Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and adaptable to changing priorities.

    + Self-starter who takes initiative.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

    + Capacity to work both independently and collaborate in team environment.

    + Commitment to a high level of ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality.

     

    Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
