The Family Services Director is responsible for the development, implementation, training, and facilitation of all family-related services across BriteLife Recovery sites. This role ensures that the philosophy and delivery of family programming are consistent, effective, and aligned with BLR’s model of care—one rooted in relational healing, connection, and sustainable recovery. The Family Services Director will serve as a trainer, facilitator, and bridge between clinical teams, families, and leadership, helping to cultivate a unified and compassionate approach to family engagement across all programs

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Program Development & Oversight:

    • Design, implement, and oversee all aspects of family programming across all treatment sites, ensuring alignment with BLR’s integrated and relational model of care.

    • Oversee and maintain the BALM (Be A Loving Mirror) Family Recovery Program, ensuring program fidelity, facilitator training, and participant satisfaction.

    • Develop and implement an ongoing family recovery program tailored for mental health clients.

    • Create and coordinate a regularly scheduled SUD family education program that includes both in-person and virtual components at each site.

    • Develop and launch a Family Alumni Program to foster continued engagement and community among families post-treatment.

    Training, Facilitation, and Support:

    • Provide training, guidance, and supervision to clinical staff in the delivery of family programming, ensuring consistent quality across all BLR locations.

    • Facilitate family education programs initially, while simultaneously training and mentoring staff to assume facilitation roles over time.

    • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for clinical teams focused on family systems theory, relational healing, communication, and boundaries.

    • Establish clear expectations and best practices for the delivery of family education and family engagement.

    • Continue to co-facilitate select family education sessions to ensure program fidelity and provide real-time feedback and modeling.

    Collaboration & Communication:

    • Collaborate closely with Clinical Directors to integrate family services into existing treatment programming.

    • Partner with admissions and clinical teams to enhance family onboarding, communication, and involvement throughout the treatment process.

    • Maintain ongoing communication with site leadership to assess needs, provide consultation, and ensure consistent implementation of family services.

    • Represent BLR’s philosophy and family programming in presentations, community partnerships, and professional trainings as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field.

    • Professional licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or equivalent).

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing family therapy, family education, or family program leadership in behavioral health or addiction treatment settings.

    • Strong background in family systems theory, addiction and recovery models, and trauma-informed care.

    • Experience providing clinical training, facilitation, or program development.

    • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

    • Ability to foster collaboration across interdisciplinary teams.

    • Proficiency in virtual training platforms and blended (in-person/online) program delivery.

Key Considerations for a Multi-Site Company:

    • Location: This is a remote position with regular travel to BLR treatment sites.

    • Travel: Travel is required for on-site training, observation, and program facilitation.

    • Technology: Familiarity with telehealth and online training delivery systems is essential.

    • Communication: Strong interpersonal and relational skills are crucial for effectively engaging diverse teams and families across multiple sites.
