About the role

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and supporting enterprise-level applications using Java, Angular and AWS. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions and ensure the highest standards of software quality.

Work model:

We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a Onsite position open to qualified applicants in the United States.

Roles & Responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain robust software applications using AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java and JavaScript to meet business requirements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient software solutions that align with company objectives.

+ Implement best practices in coding and software development to ensure high-quality deliverables and maintainability.

+ Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

+ Provide technical guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and improve project outcomes.

+ Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and identify areas for improvement.

+ Optimize application performance by analyzing and resolving performance bottlenecks and implementing enhancements.

+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.

+ Document software designs technical specifications and user manuals to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.

+ Engage in continuous learning and professional development to keep skills current and relevant.

+ Contribute to the companys purpose by developing software that enhances user experience and meets client needs.

+ Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards in all software development activities.

+ Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment to drive team success and achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications:

+ 8+ years of experience

+ Possess extensive experience in AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java and JavaScript to deliver high-quality software solutions.

+ Demonstrate proficiency in mySQL and related database technologies to manage and manipulate data effectively.

+ Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.

+ Have a solid understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.

+ Show excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively.

+ Display a proactive approach to learning new technologies and applying them to projects.

+ Hold a bachelors degree in computer science or a related field with relevant certifications being a plus.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
