About the role

As **Sr. Engineer** , you will make an impact by executing creative software solutions, designing, developing, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems that power critical business functions. You will be a valued member of the Engineering & Cloud Solutions team and work collaboratively with architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop software solutions utilizing Transmit Security Biometrics and Encryption to ensure robust security measures are in place.

• Implement Microsoft Cloud App Security features to enhance the protection of cloud-based applications.

• Develop and maintain applications using MVP and MVC design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.

• Utilize Objective-C and Swift to create high-performance applications for iOS platforms.

• Leverage SWIFT UI to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system stability and performance.

**Work model:** Hybrid.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring X days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Palo Alto, CA. What you need to have to be considered:

• Possess strong experience in Transmit Security Biometrics and Encryption technologies (7+ years of experience).

• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Cloud App Security and cloud-based application development.

• Have expertise in MVP and MVC design patterns for scalable software architecture.

• Be skilled in Objective-C and Swift for iOS application development.

• Show proficiency in SWIFT UI for designing user interfaces.

• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

These will help you stand out:

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software development processes.

• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups to ensure timely delivery of projects.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a collaborative and learning environment.

• Contribute to the development of technical documentation to support software solutions and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations to maintain data integrity and security.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
