CTG is seeking to fill a Furniture Services and Sales Representative II opening for our client in Cheektowaga, NY.
**Location:** Cheektowaga, NY
**Duration:** 3 months
Overview:
The Furniture Services and Sales Representative II is responsible for evaluating, refurbishing, and managing the sale or redistribution of unused corporate furniture. This hands-on role combines craftsmanship, logistics, and customer service to maximize value and support company-wide furniture operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Inspect, repair, and refurbish furniture for resale or reuse; determine best disposition (sale, donation, redeployment, or disposal).
+ Manage inventory, coordinate logistics, and ensure efficient movement and presentation of goods.
+ Negotiate sales and pricing with internal and external buyers; process contracts and arrange deliveries.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership and business partners to support renovation and relocation projects.
+ Maintain vendor relationships and uphold company policies, safety, and risk standards.
+ Mentor junior staff and oversee quality of refurbishments and documentation.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Requires strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, customer service, and organizational skills. Must work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
None
Education and Experience Required:
+ Associate degree and 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years combined education/work experience.
+ Skilled in furniture repair, carpentry, or craftsmanship; mechanically inclined.
+ Proven customer service and sales skills with ability to negotiate and close deals.
+ Strong organizational and time management abilities.
+ Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks; forklift certified within 30 days of hire.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle check.
+ Ability to drive a 16–26 ft. truck and travel up to 30%.
Education and Experience Preferred:
+ Technical or vocational training in woodworking, millwork, or finishing.
+ Experience with woodworking tools, machinery, and design/drawing concepts.
+ Demonstrated success in sales, project coordination, or furniture restoration.
Physical Requirements:
+ Active role involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
+ Must have adequate vision and dexterity for detailed repair work.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
