CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Multi-Disciplined Engineer II.

**Location:** Newton, NC

_Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC_

**Pay Rate:** Based on experience

**Work Hours:** M-F 8am–5pm

**Education:** Desired AAS or higher (3 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education, for a total of 10 years).

Description

Provide 2nd level technical expertise in PLC controls-based troubleshooting, controls hardware, and wiring—specifically in support of new production line installations. Follow direction from a Senior Controls Engineer and enhance manufacturing capabilities through innovative ideas and methods. Independently execute project objectives to meet overall goals and milestones.

Requirements

• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, safety systems, and structured programming

• Knowledge of control systems design, hardware, and troubleshooting

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Participate in all project phases including design, fabrication, integration, testing, installation, production start-up support, and training of plant personnel

• Ability to execute project assignments independently within a team-based environment

Education

• AAS or higher preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with PLCs—Allen Bradley/Rockwell preferred

• Proven experience with HMIs, drives, safety systems, and structured programming

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities within manufacturing environments
