    Job Description:

    Summary:

    Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (vital signs, height weight, vision screening, hearing testing, drug & alcohol testing, point of care testing, phlebotomy, etc.)

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    + Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (vital signs, height weight, vision screening, hearing testing, drug & alcohol testing, point of care testing, phlebotomy, etc.)

    + Assists in the monitoring process for pre-employment candidates to ensure candidates are cleared and qualified to assume their positions.

    + Maintains and manages all required medical documents for CDL physicals.

    + Performing general office duties such as filing, data entry, scheduling medical appointments, answering telephones, use EMR (electronic medical records) for performing tests and uploading documents, sending correspondence to supervisors, etc.

    + Assists with all medical monitoring and wellness programs, (vaccinations, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, etc.)

    + Assist with audit preparations.

    Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Completion of an accredited Medical or Nursing Assistant Training Program required.

    + Must have at least two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting, health clinic or provider office

    + Experience in Drug and Alcohol testing desired.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    + Must be f lexible and adaptable in a continuously evolving fast pace medical environment.

    + Excellent communication skills both oral and written required.

    + Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

    + Must possess computer literacy skills, prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    + Medical or Nursing Assistant Certification required.

    + Phlebotomy certification highly desired.

    Physical Demands:

    + Must be able to travel to different locations as needed.
