Job Description
This is a mid-level professional position within the Data Administration section of the Office of
the State Courts Administrator. The role involves the collection, processing, maintenance, and
analysis of data and statistical information to support the management of court programs and
operations. This position contributes to all aspects of Data Administration, including systems
development, administration, data acquisition, preparation, quality control, governance, and
analysis. Additionally, this position plays an integral role in the development and ongoing
maintenance of data management systems, including applications, hardware, and data
infrastructure. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and collaborate on a variety of projects, both as a team leader and team member,
ensuring the effective processing and warehousing of data.
• Develop and maintain computer programs to manage data, ensuring high-quality data
storage, processing, and accessibility.
• Assist end-users with transmitting and receiving data, troubleshoot system issues, and
monitor system performance, including server backups.
• Oversee system upgrades, hardware improvements, and data quality initiatives.
• Prepare research data sets, generate statistical reports, create data collection plans, and
develop data dictionaries.
• Create and maintain training materials and manuals for internal and external stakeholders.
• Handle miscellaneous ad-hoc data requests and provide general project support as
needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the areas mentioned and demonstrate a
strong willingness to learn and grow in new areas. Candidates should possess a
fundamental understanding of counting principles and have experience with data
scrubbing and validation techniques.
Education and Training Guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, information technology or a closely related field and
three years of relevant experience
Special Qualifications: Proficiency in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL) is preferred.
Programming and analytical experience are also preferred. Experience with the R statistical
package, Tableau visualization platform, and shell scripting automation is desirable. Python, VBA, or other languages are a plus.

This position requires onsite work in Tallahassee, Florida. Remote work is not an option.
