Position Description

Serco supports the US Army as a primecontractorfor their Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract which supports implementing capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum. Our team develops, integrates, andmaintainsmodern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure.
You will be partof ateam that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systemsand associated supporting documentation. The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for theiroutstanding contributions to the contract and program.
In this role, you will:
+ Plan and performroutine andnon-routinehardwareassembly andintegrationassignments of substantial variety and complexitythatare typically part of broader assignments.
+ Construct components, subunits, or simple models;adapt standard equipment; troubleshoot and correct malfunctions
+ Follow specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment
+ Performmoderate to complex vehicle integration tasks to include cable routing, metal work installations, and technical support to integrate, install,modify, and perform upgrades in support of C5ISR systems
+ Provide occasionalassistanceto related support areas including but not limited to kitting and warehouse operations
+ Use, care,andmaintaincrimp tools, heat gun, and various electrical and mechanical tools.
+ Troubleshoot basic electrical issues for equipment installed/integrated in military vehicles
+ Utilize various test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) (i.e.multimeters, clamp meters, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
+ Determineequipment malfunctionsand applyskill in restoring equipment operation
+ Fabricateorassistwith fabrication ofa variety ofradio frequency (RF), data, and power cables using solderingand crimp techniques
+ Assemble, integrate, and install various metal and electronic components
+ Read and interpret technical drawings for fabrication and installationof commercial and custom metal and electronic mounts and components
+ Apply your mechanical aptitude and experience with a range of hand and power tools
+ Occasionally work in austere conditions (field environments)
+ Travel to U.S. Army bases around the country to perform testing and maintenance on Army equipment installed by Serco Inc.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you musthave:
+ A highschool diploma/GED with 3 years' of relevant experience
+ OR anassociatedegreewith1 year of relevant experience
+ Ability to obtain an interim secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
+ Ability to travel up to 25%.
Additionallydesiredexperience and skills:
+ Experience with military vehicles
+ Basic metal fabrication
+ Basic cable fabrication
+ Automotive/mechanical troubleshooting
+ Generator maintenance and troubleshooting
+ Experience with the integration of Army Tactical C5ISR systems and vehicle platforms
+ Fiber / BICSI / Certifications

Salary range: The hourly amount for this position can be found at the top of the posting. This role is covered by the Service Contract Act. For positions on this contract, we will pay the prevailing wage rate for the location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor and the Wage Determination. The wage rate will vary depending on the locality. Additionally, you will receive Health and Welfare Benefits based on the WD for the contract.
