This is a full-time mobile position with occasional on call and storm support responsibilities. Schedule is flexible.
As a Mobile Mechanic, you can expect to:
+ Completes repairs and maintains a variety of gasoline and diesel powered equipment and vehicles from a mobile service truck.
+ Perform inspections, repair and maintenance operations on a variety of powered, non-powered equipment, and vehicles.
+ Operate and perform diagnosis on equipment, maintain and repair hydraulic systems, routes and replaces hydraulic lines, check system for leaks and proper operation
+ Perform diagnosis and repair complex electrical systems.
+ Perform routine vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance inspections checking, DOT inspections and replaces fluids, checks lights and other electrical system components, etc.
+ Provide clear and accurate information when entering work order data into a fleet maintenance system.
+ A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
+ Work in a self-paced environment and is self-motivated.
+ The list of duties does not include ALL duties that may be assigned to this position.
+ Ability to perform administrative tasks and the ability to prioritize work load in a productive manner
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
+ At least 2 years of light to heavy duty vehicle maintenance experience
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of gas and diesel powered equipment.
+ High school diploma or its equivalent
+ Valid driver’s license with good driving record
+ CDL preferred but not required
+ Must be computer literate
+ Must be able to effectively communicate with customers
+ Must possess necessary skills to operate and interpret diagnostic equipment
+ Candidates must provide truck technician hand tools
+ Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card to operate a service vehicle
+ At least 2 years of performing DOT inspections
+ This position is contingent upon your ability to pass a preemployment criminal history check and drug screen.
Additional desired experience and skills:
+ ASE Certifications preferred or capable of gaining certifications
+ Hydraulic experience preferred
