DSM - Firmenich, is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to help lead and drive change at our Rincon, Georgia facility. This is a rotating shift position. The candidate will report to the Production Manager, will oversee daily production and assist with employee development for the assigned areas. The candidate will be responsible for adhering to all safety protocols, cultivating a positive culture, mentoring direct reports and driving results.
Your key responsibilities
+ Daily oversight for production including the supervision of chemical operators. Adherence to the production schedule, site environmental, health and safety policies, quality and efficiency targets. Ensures safe operation of the Rincon facility and timely reporting of challenges to facility management.
+ Perform higher level permitting for hazardous activities, including confined space, supplied air, and energized electrical work. Participates in or leads root cause analysis for incidents and quality issues. Assists in the completion of corrective actions for themselves and their direct reports.
+ Proactively works to improve the capabilities of their direct reports. Assists in the development and completion of operator qualification through training, coaching, performance reviews, and formal qualification testing. Assists in the development and improvement of production employee training processes.
+ Leads shift turnover and ensures that all shift communications are accurate, and all action items are completed as requested. Manages the communication between the operations shifts and management. Review inspection logs and promptly address issues. Reports issues needing further support for correction.
+ Monitors and reports shift production digitally. Forecasts weekly production. Coordinates material deliveries and shipments with logistics personnel. Maintains KPI’s on monthly production. Participate in production-related meetings as requested.
+ Working of rotating shifts, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, for up to 16 hours/day. PTO coverage of other production supervisors. Leads direct reports in troubleshooting, resolution of operational challenges, and acts as process expert to cover for uncovered absences on work team.

You bring
+ Minimum education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Prefer 10+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing/distillation. Prefer 5+ year’s supervisory experience.
+ Computer Proficiency in all MS Office Software Applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and ERP Systems preferably SAP.
+ Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with proven time management, organization and prioritization skills. Strong leader who is results-driven with focus on optimization.
+ High degree of personal responsibility and initiative is required. Must possess a high level of integrity as well as excellent organizational, computer, and analytical skills.
+ Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with various departments. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others. Strong team building skills and has the ability to take decisions based upon known data.
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $82,000-$105,000.
In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
