The **Life Enrichment Director** develops, plans, implements, and evaluates the life enrichment programming that optimizes resident physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cognitive well-being. Life Enrichment Directors help bring to life Ebenezer's cornerstones: Lifelong Learning, Dimensions Program for Dementia Care, Crafted Culinary, Spiritual Care, Wellness, and Intergenerational Programming.
This schedule includes;
+ 80 hours every two weeks ; Full Time
+ Rotating weekend and holidays
Responsibilities
+ Program Development & Resident Engagement
+ Designs and implements activity programs tailored to residents’ interests and psychosocial needs.
+ Conducts assessments to identify individual preferences and needs; develops personalized activity care plans and tracks resident participation.
+ Monitors resident engagement and independence through ongoing observation and evaluation.
+ Plans, organizes, and facilitates daily activities and special events.
+ Maintains inventory and orders necessary supplies for programming.
+ Promotes active resident participation and fosters a welcoming, inclusive environment.
+ Coordinates events in alignment with other facility programs and schedules.
+ Team Leadership
+ Recruits, trains, and supervises Life Enrichment Assistants, ensuring high-quality service delivery and team collaboration.
+ Psychosocial Support
+ Encourages resident autonomy by offering choices and promoting self-help skills.
+ Supports residents in building confidence and participating in group activities.
+ Facilitates social interaction and relationship-building among residents.
+ Observes and reports changes in resident mood, behavior, or physical condition to appropriate staff.
+ Maintains communication with family members as needed.
+ Regularly evaluates activity care plans to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness in promoting engagement and independence.
+ Conducts orientation and assessments for new residents to develop individualized activity plans.
+ Volunteer Coordination
+ Follows established onboarding procedures for community volunteers.
+ Develops systems to effectively utilize volunteers in enhancing resident programs.
+ Recruits, trains, assigns, and supervises volunteers to ensure quality service.
+ Recognizes and appreciates volunteer contributions.
+ Builds relationships with local organizations to encourage community involvement.
+ Transportation Services
+ Operates the Ebenezer van/bus for resident outings, ensuring safety and compliance with transportation protocols.
+ Completes pre-trip safety checklists and maintains accurate transportation logs.
+ Ensures the safety and well-being of all passengers during outings.
+ Adheres to all traffic laws and facility procedures, including emergency and infection control protocols.
+ Reports any incidents or violations immediately.
Required Qualifications
+ Associate Degree
+ 2 years of experience in Assisted Living or SNF programming
+ Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Arts Bachelor's Degree - Therapeutic Recreation or Music Therapy
+ Three years of experience
