Our mission is to oversee the delivery of publicly funded, community-based services for mental health, addictive disorders, and developmental disabilities in our region. We provide critical support to adults, children, and families experiencing mental illness, addiction, and developmental or intellectual disabilities.
AtMetropolitan Human Services District (MHSD)we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivatedHealth Information Specialist to join our dedicated team and help support our vital mission. The individual in this role will be a key member of the Quality and Data Management Team, responsible for managing survey data (e.g., compiling, verifying accuracy, sorting, and data entry into databases).

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in medical records or as a patient coder; OR
Two years of experience in medical records or as a patient coder plus registration with the American Health Information Management Association, as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); OR
A bachelor’s degree in health information.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
This position is responsible for managing survey data, monitoring outcomes, and providing system support for both theElectronic Health Record (CareLogic)and the State survey data system (TeleSage).
Key duties include:
+ independently performing complex administrative tasks
+ auditing health records
+ compiling and distributing data reports
+ participating in quality monitoring and improvement activities
