    This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to use aerodynamic design expertise on turbomachinery component design. The role includes performing aerodynamic design and analysis in support of new product development, bench, rig and engine test definitions and data reduction, evaluating in-service hardware issues, and providing support for production hardware. Understanding and adherence to design requirements and practices, acting with speed and accuracy for on-time execution, and apply six sigma thought processes and tools.

     

    This position is located at our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico site. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a flexible balance between in-office and remote work after an initial 90-day period.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Leverage advanced knowledge and skills to perform the following:

    + Turbine aerodynamic design and analysis

    + Single and multi-stage CFD analysis

    + TSFC root cause and corrective action analysis/process

    + Aerodynamic assessment of supplier production

    + Communicate and document technical results to internal and external customers.

    + Support engine and rig tests, as well as functional tests, to ensure successful engine certification along with any RCCA initiatives.

    + Effectively support complex projects involving multiple organizations, to successfully complete milestones assigned.

    + Support continuous process improvement projects within the organization.

    _YOU MUST HAVE_

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering, sciences, technology, or mathematics

    + Must be a US person

    + Equivalent of 5 years or more of experience in CFD analysis

    + Strong CFD experience and application toward aerodynamic design of turbine components

    + Proficient technical writing and presentation skills

    + Effective interpersonal and team skills to resolve problems and drive results
