MACHINIST - HOUSTON, TX
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ **Operate** **bolt** **forging machine and press machine**
+ **Inspect products to ensure quality by using precision measuring instruments, gages, and visual inspection.**
+ Process materials on production equipment
+ Report daily production totals
+ Detect and report defective materials
+ Check parts in process as directed by work instructions
+ Fill out part identification tags
+ Move parts using pallet jacks, hoists, or forklifts
+ Maintain cleanliness of the work area
+ Identify and document downtime
+ Identify and document scrap
+ Assist other operators as needed during change overs
QUALIFICATIONS
+ **Operate** **bolt** **forging machine and press machine**
+ To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
+ Ability to read and understand technical instructions
+ Good eye hand coordination
+ Basic math skills
+ Experience with handheld measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
+ Ability to be trained to set up coils and set dies
+ Positive attitude/team player
+ Must have experience in die changeover and set up of stamping presses.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
+ Minimum one-year related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ High school diploma or GED required.
Hourly Pay: $17.00-19.00
Work Hours: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
Position: Full-time
