NewsNation is seeking a skilled and proactive Operations Manager to oversee studio and control room operations, and crew coordination at our New York City Bureau. This role reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with operations leadership, technical teams, and editorial staff to ensure smooth coordination across all aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a primary point of contact for resolving operational issues that could impact live or recorded broadcasts.
• Collaborate with fellow operations managers to supervise and support a large, diverse technical staff.
• Oversee scheduling operations to ensure efficient and effective staffing across all shifts.
• Work closely with the Director of Operations on strategic initiatives, special projects, and day-to-day problem-solving.
• Manage and support a workforce that includes employees represented by different bargaining units.• Act as the on-site manager during early morning weekend shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership
Please note: This role includes Saturday and Sunday as part of the regular weekly schedule. Weekend shifts are a required and non-negotiable component of this position.
Qualifications:
• Experience working in network television, particularly in network control rooms
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Prior management or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
• This is an on-site position based in Midtown Manhattan. • Bachelor’s degree preferred
Salary Range: (per experience) $130K to $150K
