Job Description
his role will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated tests to ensure the quality and stability of our learning platforms. The Automation QA will collaborate closely with full stack engineers, product managers, and UX designers to deliver platform improvements, bug fixes, and stability enhancements. The position is will be based with the developers in our Hyderabad deliver center and supports a globally distributed team working on platforms such as Red Hat Learning Subscription, Academy Learning Platform, and Red Hat Skills Assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs.
Collaborate with developers to understand new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts (e.g., Selenium, Pytest, or similar).
Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple platforms and environments.
Participate in agile ceremonies, including story refinement, demos, retrospectives, and application releases.
Troubleshoot & report defects, working with developers to resolve issues across the application stack.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance for automated testing.
Document test plans, test cases, and test results, ensuring traceability and transparency.
Advocate for quality and stability improvements, sharing insights and recommendations during engineering meetings.
Ensure adherence to accessibility and responsive design standards in testing.

Skills and Requirements
Proven experience in manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs.
Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages for test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
Experience with Linux container technologies (Docker or Podman) and Linux systems administration.
Familiarity with SCM tools such as GitHub or GitLab.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote, agile team.
Understanding of version control, Agile practices, and kanban-based workflows.
Excellent communication skills, able to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
Experience with manual testing practices, including exploratory and regression testing. Experience testing applications built with ReactJS, TypeScript, Python (Django REST API), and related technologies.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
Familiarity with OpenShift administration and GitOps workflows.
Experience with REST API and GraphQL testing.
Exposure to accessibility standards and responsive design testing.
