    Job Description

    A client in the Zephyrhills, FL area is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team for a contract to hire opportunity. This candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians with medical procedures in office. This candidate will be assisting the physicians by performing various administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility. Clinical task for this role includes the following: rooming patients, assisting physicians during examinations, administering medications, performing basic laboratory tests, and providing patient education on treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care. Lastly, the administrative tasks include inventory management, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records

    Skills and Requirements

    • High school graduate, GED or equivalent.

    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).

    • 3 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, or 5 years of both certified and non-certified Medical Assistant experience (with at least 2 of those years being certified).

    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification • At least one year of experience as a lead, or in training other Medical Assistants in a clinic setting.

    • Previous experience in championing or leading change initiatives in the clinical environment.
