    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Air Force’s enterprise-level maintenance management systems, including IMDS CDB, MSAT, and TAS, which ensure operational readiness across global bases and allied forces. This role involves applying advanced IT acquisition strategies, cybersecurity principles, and performance metrics to support system planning and sustainment. The engineer will evaluate program portfolios, recommend improvements, and manage technical baselines to enhance systems engineering processes. Responsibilities include designing and executing system-level tests to verify compliance with specifications and preparing detailed technical documentation. The candidate will also deliver management reports and technical presentations to guide planning and corrective actions. Validation of software systems through rigorous analysis and evaluation is a key component of the role. Additionally, the engineer will provide Agile and Digital engineering support, risk management input, and ensure compliance with all relevant DoD and Air Force directives and manuals.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Extensive experience in systems engineering for enterprise-level software systems, including system design, integration, testing, and sustainment—preferably within DoD or Air Force environments

     

    - Proficiency in Agile and Digital engineering practices, including tools like JIRA, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines, with a strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies

     

    - Knowledge of cybersecurity and information assurance frameworks such as RMF, NIST 800-53, and AF cybersecurity directives, with relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP) preferred

     

    - Familiarity with Air Force and DoD acquisition and engineering standards, including AFI 63-101, AFMAN 63-144, and SEAM processes

     

    - Strong technical documentation and communication skills, with the ability to prepare engineering reports, conduct technical presentations, and support risk management activities
