    Job Description

    Insight Global is currently seeking an experienced electrical engineer to support facilities equipment installation, troubleshooting, and project construction for site locations in Wilmington and Chelmsford, MA. The role requires a senior-level skilled engineer, capable of solving electrical capacity and resiliency. The candidate will operate as an interface between 3rd party engineers supporting larger construction projects as well as supporting day-to-day issues as they arise related to the electrical infrastructure. They will play a leading role in defining process and electrical system standards and requirements. The candidate will lead environmental and sustainability goals from a facilities infrastructure perspective. This role reports to the Director of Facilities Operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    o Lead the design and development of electrical systems and components for various facilities-related projects.

    o Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure project completed within specifications, on-time, and within budget.

    o Mentor junior engineers and maintenance technicians by providing technical guidance and support.

    o Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, reports, and design schematics.

    o Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and ADI Global Engineering standards. Conduct feasibility studies, root cause analysis, and technical assessments.

    o Work closely with multidisciplinary engineers and teams to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.

    o Identify and resolve complex technical issues, conducting diagnostics and performance evaluations of electrical systems. Subject matter expert during root cause analysis activities when discuss electrical systems and delivery.

     

    - Interact with manufacturing engineers and leaders supporting factory growth and optimization.

     

    - Ensure safe practices are leveraged by contractors and technicians when performing maintenance and repairs.

     

    Pay ranges from $40-50/hr based on qualifications and years of experience.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.

     

    - Ten (10) years or more experience in a facilities or construction electrical engineering role.

     

    - Class 1 production area environments

     

    - Electrical systems: Voltages from control to 480 VAC, Lighting, Variable Frequency Drives, IR scanning and power quality analyzing.

     

    - Control Systems: Building Management Systems, installations, programming, troubleshooting, repair/service including PLC programming, service and troubleshooting.

     

    - Life-safety fire alarm systems: Wet and dry, NFPA inspections / requirements.

     

    - Proficiency using volt-ohm, amperage, loop & process calibrators and source output meters.

     

    - Must be able to read schematics (mechanical, electronic & electrical) and P&IDs.

    - Must be proficient with AutoCAD version MEP2023 - 5-10 years or more experience with semiconductor Facilities such as:

    o Toxic Gas systems: ACM, TGM, DOD PS-7 sensors, system integrations, PLC programming and sensor semi-annual gas challenging.

    o WinCC programming and related PLC installation experience.

    o Siemens “Insight/Apogee/Desigo” building operations & programming.

    o Rockwell Automation Control Logix.
