Job Description
This is a fully on-site role - with the exception of Wednesday (remote) work day.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Architect, deploy, and maintain Azure-based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Design and manage a cloud-native estimating platform.
• Establish patterns for resource selection, scaling, naming, and security protocols.
• Lead modernization and migration of on-premise workloads to Azure.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, YAML).
• Automate cloud operations using PowerShell or Azure automation.
• Create and implement processes in the cloud environment.
• Build and manage Docker files and CI/CD pipelines.
• Enforce strong identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD).
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs, implement FinOps principles.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
• Split time between two major projects.
Pay Rate: $55-$62/hr

Skills and Requirements
• Senior-level experience (5+ years) designing and managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Expertise in Azure core services: Compute, Storage, Networking, App Services, Security.
• Proven proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, YAML).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Skilled in creating Docker files and building pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Azure governance, policies, RBAC, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with hybrid networking and on-premises integration (Azure Arc, ExpressRoute).
• Relevant certifications strongly preferred (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Security Engineer Associate).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. • Experience with Azure security tools (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Entra ID).
• Knowledge of virtualization, Windows Server, and Active Directory integration.
