Job Summary:
The Director of GME Accreditation will be responsible for overseeing accreditation for the WMC Health GME enterprise, inclusive of over 50 programs and more than 500 trainees. Responsibilities will include the management of accreditation document submission, site visit preparation, and strategic planning for GME expansion. The Director will assist with network wide optimization of GME accreditation standing, identify areas of opportunity, implement changes, and monitor results. The Director will be responsible for management and direction of program administrators from all GME programs and will serve as the ACGME Institutional Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the accreditation oversight of the network wide GME enterprise, as well as collaborating on program development and strategic planning initiatives.
+ Manages and oversees the implementation of policies and practices for compliance with applicable GME accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Responsibilities include oversight of ACGME accreditation submissions, match, and recruitment processes.
+ Engages in educational planning for new GME programs and program expansions.
+ Manages GME program administrators with a focus on continuous improvement in processes related to accreditation and program quality, as well as program administrator professional development.
+ Responsible for partnering with program leaders on submission of ACGME annual updates and match quotas.
+ Responsible for partnering with program leaders on preparation for ACGME annual trainee and faculty surveys.
+ Responsible for management and strategic planning for professional development of program directors, associate program directors, program faculty, and residents/fellows in non-specialty specific areas.
+ Ensures compliance with ACGME-required areas of non-specialty specific education.
+ Partners with hospital quality leadership for the development and implementation of GME learning and programmatic initiatives.
+ Partners with hospital diversity, equity, and inclusion leadership for the development and implementation of GME learning and programmatic initiatives.
+ Partners with the DIO, hospital, and departmental leadership for the expansion of research in GME programs, including the management of applied research support, and implementation of intititution-wide training initiatives.
+ Partners with the DIO and program leaders on trainee remediation and corrective action and implements tracking processes.
+ Manages team performance and analyzes performance against key performance indicators and metrics, fosters a collaborative environment to address performance deficiencies and provides coaching/mentoring to ensure the highest levels of individual and team performance.
+ Analyzes and identifies opportunities to increase GME efficiencies and quality, including preparation of reports and strategic plans related to ACGME surveys and match outcome data.
+ Undertakes special projects and assignments as directed.
+ Develops educational and accreditation strategy and oversees process improvement opportunities across respective processes that result in GME operational, program leadership and trainee satisfaction enhancements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
+ 7 years of experience in Graduate Medical including high-level knowledge of ACGME institutional and program-level requirements, significant experience in ACGME ADS, NRMP, and New Innovations or related management systems, required.
Education:
+ Master’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Health Policy & Management or related, required
Licenses / Certifications:
+ TAGME certification, required
