    Description

    SAIC is seeking a **Software Engineer** to support the STARS team located in Huntsville, Alabama/Redstone Arsenal.

     

    Program Information: The STARS Planner Team deliver software-based solutions for Models and Simulation to the Missile Defense Agency.

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Development of software for radar systems

    + Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software

    + Ensures software standards are met

    + Participate in internal and external software team meetings and interfaces with the customer

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience

    Required Skills:

    + Demonstrated modern C++ and/or **Java experience** in a team environment

    + Solid **object-oriented programming experience**

    + Experience in Linux-targeted development

    + Experience contributing to CI/CD workflows (GitLab, etc.)

    + Container Application Development experience

    Required Clearance:

    + Must have an active Secret Security Clearance
