The position of Machinist, Level I at Aqua-Chem will need to process components for assembly into customized clean water systems for customers domestic and around the world. Aqua-Chem is a team orientated work environment that encourages employee growth and innovation.

Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)

Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00/hr, Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:

+ Mazatrol Matrix, M32, or Mazak Smooth control use experience is needed.

+ Machine materials into components in accordance with company/customer requirements utilizing a variety of machining equipment.

+ CNC Lathes and Mazak Lathes use.

+ Drill Press, manual lathes, and manual mills use.

+ Program CNC equipment to produce components that meet quality specifications.

+ Operate material handling equipment (forklift/overhead crane) to maneuver parts safely into place, while facilitating and optimizing workflow.

+ Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and/or vernier calipers.

+ Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.

+ Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines.

+ Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operation needed to fabricate products needed for production.

+ Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.

+ Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard.

+ Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.

+ Participate in root cause analysis projects and Continuous Improvement programs.

+ Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

+ High School Diploma/GED required

+ At least 1 year fabricating in a manufacturing environment

+ Programing experience on Mazatrol Matrix or M32 control use, and/or G code, preferred.

Requirements:

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

+ Basic shop math and measurement skills

+ Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings

+ Able to work overtime as required
