Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
About the Role
Fandango Entertainment is seeking a data-driven and programming-savvy Director of Content Analytics to lead efforts in understanding how content resonates with diverse audiences across platforms. This role will focus exclusively on content performance, audience engagement, and programming strategy -- informing both product decisions and content acquisition through deep, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
+ Audience & Content Performance
+ Analyze reach, engagement, and consumption patterns across content types, genres and formats.
+ Deliver insights on audience behavior segmented by demographics, geography, platform, and viewing context.
+ Identify content trends and performance drivers to inform programming strategy.
+ Translate complex data into clear narratives for partners.
+ Content Acquisition & Programming
+ Develop frameworks for evaluating content ROI, audience fit, and long-term engagement potential.
+ Support content licensing and acquisition decisions with audience intelligence.
+ Provide near real-time reporting to content programming teams to optimize content planning and publishing.
+ Enable experimentation around content programming, promotion and distribution strategies.
+ Data Science, Measurement & Reporting
+ Ensure consistency and accuracy in content tagging and taxonomy. Drive more advanced approaches to enrich content data that might enable content analytics and/or algorithms (e.g. embeddings, auto-tagging).
+ Define and maintain core KPIs for content success across platforms.
+ Build scalable dashboards and reporting tools to democratize access to content insights.
Qualifications
+ 8+ years of experience in digital media analytics, with a strong background in streaming media for film, tv or related field.
+ Expertise in tools & languages such as Databricks/Snowflake, SQL, Python/R, Adobe/Google Analytics, Tableau/Looker/Domo
+ Experience using experimentation platforms to test programming, promotion and distribution strategies for content.
+ Proven leadership experience building and managing analytics teams. Ability to mentor and grow diverse teams of analysts, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture.
+ Deep understanding of digital audience behavior, content consumption patterns, and media monetization models.
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex data into compelling narratives.
+ Experience and interest in emerging methods and technologies (e.g. AI/ML) that can be used to advance our practices around content analytics and data science.

+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.

+ Salary range: $130,000 - $200,000 (bonus and LTI eligible)
