Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Gear and Shaft Utility.
The hourly rate for this position is $27.45 per hour. The hours for this shift are 3:30PM-12:00AM.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group has an opening for a Certified Gear and Shaft Utility. This position is based in Euclid, OH.
The Euclid facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace Fuel Pumping components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
Job Summary:
• Set up and operate various burring, cleaning, buffing and blasting machines to generate rough and finish dimensions on a variety of parts. Perform operations such as nitride, heat treat, buff and blast. Also perform hand operations required to burr, polish, finish, and blend surfaces on machined parts.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the Certified Operator program.
• Assistance may be given to other operators on proper operational procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
• Load, unload and monitor processing of parts in heat treat basket, load furnaces, operate furnaces, monitor gages, unload furnaces, and perform hardness test.
• Perform various burr, buff, dry blast, degrease and oiling operations on hardware.
• Set up, operate, monitor, read, interpret, and maintain furnace, atmosphere generation, and quench equipment controls and instruments such as timers, temperature control and monitoring recorder charts, flow scopes, pressure gages, various dial gages. Instruments may be analog or digital (programmable microprocessor) based.
• Set up and operate all equipment with a minimum of assistance, be familiar with work procedures involved with nitride, heat treating, and buffing operations. Frequent changes in set-up and maintenance of close tolerance require constant attention.
• Mount and accurately align various jig and fixtures, select speeds, and feeds. Load and align tooling working from engineering layouts. Adjust stops and cams to produce finish dimensions to tolerances.
• Read and interpret moderately complicated blueprints and execute quality checks using a variety of mechanical and electronic gages.
• Maintain accurate lot control (QCP 6.0) traceability, record keeping, log book entries, NCR’s (QCP 11.0) and associated documentation. *(Reordered)
• Generate close tolerance edge breaks using various hand tools.
• Maintain clean equipment and work area, Perform minor machine maintenance as needed.
• Chart and plot data per SPC requirement.
• Move material within the cell.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of work location; no relocation benefit is provided.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Minimum one (1) year of machining/utility, heat treat or nitride experience.
• Minimum 2-year GD&T Experience (successful completion of Eaton Level 1 Advanced Training will be considered in lieu of this requirement).
