    PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Cash Management Specialist at our Irving, Texas service center. The Senior Cash Management Specialist acts as subject matter expert in processing consumer and mortgage payments, payment reversals, monetary adjustments, and cash transactions on the Cash Management Team. Responsibilities may include indirectly managing teammates, leading discussions or projects, monitoring reports, training, advanced level research or corrections.

    + Provides prioritization and guidance to the team on workflow and Cash related inquiries.

    + Manage and complete all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner.

    + Measure and Report goal results and key performance indicators via scorecards.

    + Interact directly with supervisor/manager about strategy development and execution planning.

    + Acts as an initial escalation point of contact on issues, delays, member inquiries etc.

    + Assists supervisor/manager in mentoring, coaching, and timely feedback on performance of team.

    + Creates and updates departmental procedures and job aids.

    + Functions as a department subject matter expert (SME)

    + Keeps supervisor/manager advised of all issues, unresolved escalated items and/or potential risk/exposure issues.

    + Assist in monitoring vendor relationships for BillPay and lockbox.

    + Manages departmental reports to ensure completion.

    + Trains other processors to review and manage system functions and reports.

    + Works with minimal supervision on special projects and any other duties assigned.

    + Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state, county or city, investor, insurer and internal laws, policies, and procedures regarding mortgage loan servicing.

    + Consistently comply with all company guidelines

    + Assists in the preparation of audits by gathering required documentation.

    + Possess a strong understanding of servicing guidelines and regulatory requirements established under NCUA, RESPA, CFPB and PenFed.

    *This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.*

    Qualifications

    Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

     

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + Five plus (5+) years of current banking experience or related payment processing experience required.

    + Experience with BKFS MSP preferred but not required.

    + Computer literacy, including but not limited to Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook

    + Strong math aptitude essential

    + Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.

     

    Supervisory Responsibility

     

    This position will not supervise employees.

     

    Licenses and Certifications

     

    There are no additional certifications required.

     

    Work Environment

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

     

    *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

     

    Travel

     

    The ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
