    Required Skills:

    Software Engineer, Network Responsibilities:

    1. Develop software to scale the production network.

    2. Work with networking devices and protocols.

    3. Integrate with other systems and evaluate third party solutions.

    4. Collaborate with Network Engineering team to automate various processes, build software infrastructure for network monitoring and analysis, and aid in capacity planning and architecture change analysis.

    5. Design and implement how to build, model, analyze, and monitor current networks.

    6. Work on spanning data center networking architecture (e.g., OpenFlow or similar technologies for software defined networking) and software systems to configure, monitor, analyze, model, and manage our datacenter, backbone, and content delivery networks.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    7. Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field

    8. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:

    11. Debugging complex systems

    12. Linux and Unix

    13. Load balancing and consistent hashing

    14. Programming with sockets, Operating System Networking Stack, TCP, and UDP

    15. Python

    16. RDBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases

    17. System level debugging

    18. Distributed systems

    19. Internet security and privacy

    20. Sharding, consistency, and availability, AND

    21. OS (Operating System) Internals

    Public Compensation:

    $216,284/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
