How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Reporting to the Director
of Corporate Security Programs, the Senior Manager, Internal Investigations
leads a high-performing team of internal security managers and investigators.
Responsible for setting vision, driving enterprise-wide investigative strategy,
and ensuring organizational resilience against internal and external threats.
Acts as a strategic partner to executive leadership and a key architect of
Delta’s security culture.
Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
+ Lead,develop, and mentor a team of four or more grade 8/9 leaders, ensuringconsistent execution of investigative best practices and professional growthacross the function.
+ Define andexecute enterprise-wide investigative strategy, aligning with organizationalobjectives and emerging threat landscapes.
+ Drivecross-functional collaboration with Corporate Security, Legal, Compliance, HR,and external agencies to proactively mitigate risk and respond to incidents.
+ Overseecomplex, multifaceted investigations, ensuring all findings meet legal,regulatory, and ethical standards and support organizational decision-making atthe highest levels.
+ Establish,monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for investigativeeffectiveness, risk reduction, and team development.
+ Represent theinvestigations function at executive and enterprise forums, advocating forresources, influencing policy, and providing strategic counsel to seniorleaders.
+ Leadcontinuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to evolveinvestigative processes, technologies, and training.
+ Maintainoversight of all investigative records, data security, and evidence managementprotocols, ensuring enterprise compliance and confidentiality.
+ RepresentDelta in high-level meetings with senior officials of the US and internationalgovernments, serving as a credible and trusted liaison for investigative andsecurity matters.
+ Advocate forDelta’s interests in policy, regulatory, and crisis situations, buildingstrategic relationships with support organizational objectives and operationalresilience.
+ Cultivatestrategic relationships with law enforcement, intelligence, and aviationsecurity partners, representing Delta’s interests at industry and governmentlevels.
+ Serve assubject matter expert and spokesperson for internal investigations, providingguidance and testimony as required in executive, legal, and regulatorysettings.
+ Model Delta’svalues of integrity, resilience, care, and servant leadership, fostering aculture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
+ Provide 24/7strategic support for critical security incidents, ensuring rapid mobilizationof resources and enterprise coordination as needed.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in law enforcement,intelligence, or corporate security, with significant oversight ofinvestigative teams and enterprise risk.
+ Experience withnational security issues/investigations.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and manage leaders acrossdiverse, high-stakes environments.
+ Proven track record of developing and executing investigative strategiesthat drive measurable organizational outcomes.
+ Strong executive presence, communication skills, and ability to partnerwith senior leadership and external agencies.
+ Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior governmentleaders and international officials, with proven diplomatic skills andexecutive presence
+ Experience managing complex projects, setting KPIs, and leveraging datafor continuous improvement.
+ Aviationindustry familiarity/experience is required.
+ Proveninterview and investigation skills.
+ High degree of self-discipline, initiative,and drive, and function well under budgetary, operational, and timeconstraints.
+ Experience working in fast paced, dynamicconditions while exceling under pressure in critical situations and meetingstrict deadlines.
+ Demonstratedability to multitask and manage competing priorities with little supervision.
+ Strongorganizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with natural curiosity,attention to detail, and strong investigative drive.
+ Solid understandingof and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook).
+ UScitizenship required.
+ Ability to obtain US government security clearance is required.
+ Domestic andinternational travel is required.
+ Performing satisfactorily in current position.
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high schoolequivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in theUnited States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ At least 5years of counterterrorism experience.
+ CurrentSecret level security clearance or higher.
