About the Role:
Join our expert team at a large pharmaceutical company in Indianapolis maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC systems—from walk-ins and ovens to chillers and compressors. You'll lead installations, solve electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure safety and efficiency across all systems. Be the go-to pro for commissioning new kitchens, mentoring peers, and driving excellence through CBRE RISE values.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
+ Inspect, solve, install, rebuild, adjust, replace and ensure safety of commercial kitchen appliances and equipment. May include, but not limited to: walk-ins, steamers, rational ovens, dishwashers, booster heaters, warmers, exhaust hoods, serving lines, ice machines, bearings, motors, heat exchanges, boilers, air conditioner compressors, exhaust systems and chillers. Repair and maintain all low voltage, equipment voltage and control voltages.
+ Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Maintain an energy management program. Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.
+ Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
+ Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
+ Review inspection to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
+ Apply advanced knowledge to tackle sophisticated problems, mentor others across fields, and lead by example in alignment with CBRE RISE values to foster collaboration and consensus.
What You’ll Need:
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and prior CMMS experience preferred
+ Organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive attitude.
+ Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
