    General Summary:

    This position is responsible for establishing and managing engagement development and activation strategies that support enterprise growth opportunities. This includes the ideation and creation of the message architecture, the selection of optimal channels for activation and mapping release plans to align with optimal engagement and business goals. This person will be the engineer for what engagements to develop, which channels to leverage this in and how to measure effectiveness of the assets and interactions.

    Principal Responsibilities and Duties

    + Develop market activation strategy and build out campaigns to support activation goals

    + Plan and optimize the buyer experience across activation channels and content formats

    + Engage and influence internal stakeholders (including sales) to develop core assets and aligning buyer needs to business solutions to craft in-market positioning

    + Measure and report on key goals, engagement, interactions and consumption

    + Identify trends, insights and best practices for new activation development and formats.

    + Manages testing of activations including content (including calls-to-action) across activation channels

    + Works closely with broader team to build out new and updated materials for demand generation

    + Manage relationships with outside vendors and contractors as needed

    + Develop new ways to distribute core engagements including podcasts, videos, and other mediums

    + Work closely with thought leaders in the organization to leverage for engagement opportunities

    + Create new ways to cultivate engagement including community development, social, PR and media

    + Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, business analysts, and developers to identify and solve business needs

    + May perform other duties as assigned

    Job Specifications

    + 4-year college degree required with at least 5 years of Marketing experience with an emphasis on content marketing, social media and demand generation

    + A high degree of initiative, creativity and problem-solving skills will be expected

    + Strong understanding of media, marketing-sales funnel metrics, and how they can be analyzed

    + Experience in managing content delivery and channel distribution

    + Experience in WebCMS, marketing automation and other marketing technologies

    + Ability to leverage analytics and data to inform market activations strategy

    + Understanding of CRM and Marketing automation platforms (Salesforce and Marketo a plus)

    + Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

    + Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and manage cross functional teams

    The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

     

    $75,500.00-$142,700.00

     

    Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
